Blind and Autistic AGT Contestant Kodi Lee Stuns Viewers

In one of the most memorable moments in America’s Got Talent history, singer and pianist Kodi Lee left audience members and viewers at home stunned and in tears as he performed a rendition of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You.”

In the premier of AGT Season 14, Kodi’s mom Tina assisted him on stage and stated, “Through music and performing, [Kodi] was able to withstand living in this world. Because when you’re autistic, it’s really hard to do what everyone else does. It actually has saved his life, playing music.”

Simon Cowell, who has judged countless acts over the years, was visibly stunned after Kodi’s performance and commented, “What just happened there was extraordinary….Thank you so much for trusting us on this show. I’m going to remember this moment for the rest of my life.”

Gabrielle Union, a new judge this season, hit the Golden Buzzer for Kodi, which advances him straight to the finals.
